Psalm 43 -- Good morning: Let us pray for light

Psalms 43:3

Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling.

All powerful and everlasting God, we thank you for being our strength and our shield. Precious Saviour, Your word is a lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path; Your steadfast love for us, never ceases. So Lord, today we look to you the author and finisher of our faith, to  destroy the roots of darkness in our hearts, in our lives and from anything or anyone around us and our love ones today. Lead us to the light of your truth O Lord;  Open our ears so we can hear your voice, give us understanding in the way we should go, and grant us wisdom in how we should proceed. In Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen.

God shows up

Our lives are so full that we’re not even aware when Jesus shows up around us. God shows up in our lives all the time, providing opportunities we never thought we’d get, in the midst of problems we didn’t know we were going to have. But often, we just don’t see him.
